With the cancellation of the lecture on “Winston, The Life and the Wit of Winston Spencer Churchill” on May 14^th 2008 due to illness, once again we have Ian Rose to thank for stepping in to give us an illustrated lecture on another of his many travels.

Although I was unable to attend this lecture, “Denver: the Mile High City” I have it on very good authority that the photographs were excellent.  I did, however, attend the previous lecture - Iceland, The Golden Circle & Beyond – in April 2007 when again he was readily on hand to help out in a crisis.  We all owe Ian a very big “Thank You” – time to realize his valuable service to our Stour Valley U3A lecture programme.  He clearly deserves a medal.
